ROLE: As a UX/UI Designer, I was hired to enhance the visual appeal and overall experience of a small cosmetic online website called, Beauti & Bold. My goal was to find ways to attract more consumers and boost customer purchases, all while, aiming to connect with her target audience.

Former R&B singer Michelle Scott Ling launched her small cosmetic line in September 2022. The objective of Beauti & Bold was to create a distinctive brand to attract those who enjoy quality makeup products at a more affordable cost. However, she observed that customer engagement and sales did not meet her expectations over time.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Michelle Scott Ling, the CEO, and founder of Beauti & Bold cosmetic line website has been facing challenges in boosting customer purchases for her products. The lack of high-quality design, professional photographs, and social proof information has affected the perception of the company’s website as a potential scam, leading to significant financial setbacks.
